Course Booklets and Materials (Info for Students)
Uniprint is often the suppliers of course books and materials from University Departments. You can pick up Course Booklets or Materials from the Uniprintshop in the ISB– your lecturer will let you know what arrangements have been made for your course.
Are you drowning in a sea of lecture notes and hand-outs? At Uniprint, you can have your course materials bound to make them easier to access and use – find out more about our bindery services.
To collect or bind your course materials, come to the Uniprintshop on the ground floor, Central Library, IS Building on Albany Street.
We are open weekdays, 8.30am to 5pm.
Thesis Printing
- The preferred file format is PDF.
- If you have colour pages please separate them into another file.
- All thesis documents are printed on 100gsm paper unless asked otherwise.
- It is advisable to allow up to 10 working days to complete the printing and binding process.
Soft Binding
- Please check the guidelines given to you by your supervisor or department regarding which soft binding you are to use.
- Generally fastback is used for theses. Prices range from $3.00 - $5.00
- Also available is Plastic Spiral ranging from $3.50 - $8.00
- Wiro from $6.00 - $9.00
Thesis Hard Binding
- Hard binding takes approximately 2 weeks to be returned back to Uniprint
- There is a short form you need to fill out at the counter stating your details, name of your work, colour choice etc.
- If you are unable to pick up your thesis we can courier it within Dunedin city at a charge of $6.00
- For sending it nationally or internationally additional postage fees will apply.
If you are unable to be here for the soft or hard binding process you will need to arrange for someone to come in on your behalf and organise these things for you. They will need to:
- Know the order of your thesis well.
- Know exactly what you want in terms of binding, colours, printing etc.
- Be available to come to Uniprint when requested.
